When I planned my own wedding in 2023 I looked back at 9 years photographing beautiful weddings and realized that the classic American wedding wasn’t what I wanted.
I wanted something that felt like a picnic or a church potluck. No loud music. No strict schedule or head count. Just as many dear friends as we could cram into my mom’s (spacious) back yard; food, friends, fellowship.
We decorated with flowers from the grocery store and glass jars/bottles and candles. We hired a friend to put together a huge charcuterie spread. We borrowed china and flatware, and I asked several friends to bring specific desserts. We saw our community come together to make my wedding dream a reality.
And friend, you can do it too! Your wedding will look different than mine did, of course, but if you want a wedding that feels like an afternoon picnic instead of a theatrical production I’m here for it!

And honestly, that’s completely normal—especially on a day as meaningful and emotional as your wedding or elopement.
That’s why I don’t expect you to know how to pose or what to do. I gently guide you throughout the day with simple, natural direction so you’re never left guessing. Whether we’re capturing quiet moments during your elopement or the in-between moments on your wedding day, my goal is to help you feel comfortable, present, and connected.
Before long, it stops feeling like you’re being photographed and starts to feel like you’re just experiencing your day together. And that’s where the most meaningful images come from—real, relaxed moments that truly reflect you and your story.

My Approach to Boulder Wedding & elopement Photography
Having a photographer who was in tune with my desire for photos my guests at my wedding was important to me, and I always prioritize these kinds of photos for you, too!
Candid pictures of your grandparents seeing you in your dress for the first time. Your matron of honor tearing up while she gives a speech. Your niece breaking it down on the dance floor. You can count on me to catch moments like these throughout your wedding day.
